Well Woman Gynecologic Visits

At Femme Flor our goal is to tailor your well woman exam to fit your preventative needs. We strive to provide the most up to date preventative care while identifying each individual needs including discussing mental health, sleep quality, hormonal concerns, menstrual and reproductive health, menopausal concerns, sexual health, and identifying any health risk factors.

A well woman exam encompasses individualized care based on a patient’s medical history, family history, current medications and supplements, concerns, mental health and well-being, and fosters a positive relationship between you and your provider.

Common preventative screenings that may be recommended include pap smears, mammogram, bone density screening, colonoscopy, and sexually transmitted infection screening.

The importance of regular well woman exams is to detect any potential health issues early when they are more treatable and prevent health issues with lifestyle modifications and timely preventive care. Current recommendations for yearly regular well woman exams include a breast and pelvic exam starting around age 21. Pap smear assessments, depending on your health history, are every 3-5 years until age 65 typically. Continued regular exams after age 65 and/or having a hysterectomy or mastectomy are strongly recommended for your general well-being and health.

Routine well-woman visits are essential for proactive healthcare, empowering women with the knowledge and support they need to maintain long-term well-being.
